A: There will be a minor injuries department led by nurse practitioners. This will be almost
on the scale of an A & E department, treating minor fractures and cuts etcetera. It will
be open from 8am to 8pm, hopefully extending in due course
Q: When did the Vale Community Hospital open?
A: The hospital opened on Friday 3rd December 2011, with the arrival of the patients from Berkeley Hospital
Q: Will Wotton-under-Edge residents be able to use the hospital?
A: Yes! Also Berkeley and Uley residents and those of all villages in the area
Q: OK, how much will parking be?
A: £0.00! Free!
Q: What's happening to the Ambulance station at Woodfields?
A: The ambulances will be based at the new hospital.
Q: What's happening to the Sandpits clinic?
A: That will be incorporated into the new hospital, bringing everything together.
Q: I've heard about local colours, what does this mean?
A: The colour scheme for the hospital has come from old local colours, from when the area
was an important weaving area, colours like Stroud Red and Uley Blue and more.
Q: So, who actually owns the hospital?
A: The NHS Gloucestershire are the owners of the hospital.
