Welcome to our newly opened Hospital

The League of Friends objectives are to relieve patients of The Vale Community Hospital, and others, who use the hospital for whatever purpose and to improve the well being of the patients and the condition of the hospital. Also, assist in the provision of all matters that affect the quality of life of the patients and staff. To achieve these objectives we need volunteers to allow us to provide support and we need donations to help enable us to buy equipment for the hospital in partnership with The Primary Care Trust.
If you think you can help please fill out a membership application form, which is downloadable from our documents download page.

The sort of help we are looking for includes:

  • Fund Raising
  • Teas at the Town Hall
  • Selling Events Tickets
  • Newsletter Preparation
  • Website/Facebook Support
  • Volunteer Co-ordinators
  • Dursley Town Festival (July 9th)
  • Assisting on Wards

Installation by late artist Shelagh Wakeley

British artist Shelagh Wakely, who sadly died before the end of this project, worked with landscape architects Illman Young to design the central courtyard and in addition created this beautiful stainless steel relief depicting a 'trellis' of foliage on the main wall.
